    Senator Sharif Street is proud to host a community-centered event in collaboration with the Energy Coordinating Agency (ECA) and the Temple University Office of Community Affairs and Engagement. Happening today from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Enterprise Center (ECEC), located at 1509 Cecil B. Moore Avenue, Second Floor, Room 215.

    The event is designed to connect residents with valuable resources, support services, information aimed at protecting their homes during extreme weather and ways they can save money on energy costs. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with partner agencies, access program information, and learn about services available to Philadelphia families.

  • 2025 Fall LIHEAP Day

    Sullivan Progress Plaza 1501 N Broad Street, Philadelphia, United States

    Join Philadelphia Gas Works in collaboration with Energy Coordinating Agency along with Councilman Jeffery Young, State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta and Senator Sharif Street for the 2025 Fall LIHEAP Day. This event will provide on-site assistance to apply for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program and CRISIS grants.  Income eligible households will be able to apply for up to $1,500 in assistance. This program is open to homeowners and renters. Applicants do not need to be delinquent to apply for LIHEAP. A shut off notice will be required to apply for CRISIS grants.

    Please bring copies of the following: Names, Birth Dates and Social Security Numbers for Household Members, Proof of Gross Household Income for the last 30 days and Shut Off Notice, if applicable.

These educational and interactive programs are provided by various organizations and businesses who offer art therapy, emotional wellness classes, and more. Our focus is to highlight how wellness can improve quality of life through daily practice.
