PHILADELPHIA, PAApril 10, 2025 − Senator Sharif Street (D–Philadelphia) is proud to announce the awarding of $43,000 in state funding to Spring Garden Community Development Corporation (CDC), supporting its continued efforts to strengthen neighborhoods, enhance public spaces, and expand opportunities for residents.

The funding was awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s (DCED) Main Street Matters Program, which aims to support revitalization efforts in planning, business support, aesthetic improvements, and the increase of safety and security of neighborhoods across the Commonwealth.

“This investment reflects our commitment to empowering organizations that are making a real impact in our communities,” said Senator Street. “Spring Garden CDC has long been a leader in revitalizing the neighborhood. I’m proud to support their vision for a more vibrant and inclusive Philadelphia.”

Spring Garden CDC plans to use the funding to enhance its existing programming and invest in infrastructure improvements that will benefit both residents and local businesses.
