“Black Men’s Wellness Day is a family affair and an important event. The African American Male Wellness Agency is addressing the disparities between Black men and everyone else. Nationally, Black men’s life expectancy is 10 years shorter than other groups. I am committed to providing resources and information to my community to make sure we stay healthy. If we are going to be the fathers and grandfathers our community needs us to be then we have to show up,” said Senator Street.
