PHILADELPHIA, PA − June 10, 2026 – Senator Sharif Street (PA-3) is proud to announce over $1.8 million in grant funding for initiatives that were approved by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) to support public safety, victim services, and community-based programs across the Commonwealth.
“These strategic investments will help ensure that communities—particularly those historically underserved—have access to the resources they need to feel safe and supported. These investments reflect a holistic approach to public safety—one that prioritizes prevention, protection, and rehabilitation,” said Senator Street.
PCCD approved funding allocations for several critical programs across the 3rd Senate District, including:
State Violence and Delinquency Prevention Program Funds
- Public Health Management Corporation $250,000
- Building Our Lives Together, Inc. $250,000
- Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia $250,000
- Philadelphia Youth Network, Inc. $250,000
- Support Center For Child Advocate $250,000
- The Lighthouse, Inc. $249,992
State Endowment Act Funds
- Philadelphia Children’s Alliance $100,000
Endowment Act – DVSOs (Category 4)
- Support Center For Child Advocate $100,000
State Substance Abuse Education and Demand Reduction (SAEDR)
- Rising Hope For Change $200,000
