Philadelphia, PASeptember 6, 2019 – On Tuesday, September 10th Senator Sharif Street (D-Philadelphia), and the Diasporic Alliance for Cannabis Opportunities will be joined by Mayor Jim Kenney to kick off the 2nd Annual Cannabis Opportunities Conference, a two-day conference providing education and resources around cannabis opportunities to many marginalized communities.

The Diasporic Alliance for Cannabis Opportunities was formed to help reduce the stigma and introduce cannabis opportunities to many marginalized communities. DACO aims to open the dialogue for opportunities in education, wellness, social justice, policy, entrepreneurship and workforce development.

Last year’s conference drew over 700 participants. This year’s event will feature criminal record expungement, pardons clinic, vendors, breakouts and a legislative panel on cannabis reform in the Commonwealth.
