HARRISBURG, PA − January 16, 2026 − Senator Sharif Street hosted the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show Forum, themed “Affordability,” at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center (Erie Room) in Harrisburg on Wednesday, January 14.

The forum convened state and local elected officials, agriculture leaders, economic development professionals, and community stakeholders to discuss the rising costs impacting food systems, urban agriculture, food insecurity, and international agricultural partnerships. The event highlighted strategies to strengthen affordability for families while supporting farmers, local economies, and global trade opportunities.

Attendees were welcomed and emphasized the importance of addressing affordability across Pennsylvania’s food and agriculture systems. Legislative remarks were delivered by Representative Darisha Parker (198th District), who discussed the need for collaborative solutions that connect agriculture, health, and economic development.

This year’s forum featured a diverse and distinguished panel of experts representing agriculture, public health, economic development, and international trade, including:

The 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show is free and open to the public. The last day to attend is Saturday, January 17.
